Rideau Transit Maintenance (RTM) is a General Partnership firm of ACS Infrastructure Canada, SNC-Lavalin, and EllisDon. RTM has been awarded a 30-year contract to maintain the Confederation Line, the new light rail transit system in Ottawa.

More than 200 employees work for Rideau Transit Maintenance, two-thirds of whom originate from its main supplier Alstom.

Meet the Team

Mario Guerra – Chief Executive Officer & Acting General Manager
Mario has been with the Ottawa Light Rail Transit project since 2016 and previously served as Vice President, Rail Operations at SNC-Lavalin. He brings with him 40 years of extensive knowledge and experience in the transit industry, predominantly gained at the Toronto Transit Commission and New York City Transit. As Chief Executive Officer of Rideau Transit Maintenance, Mario is responsible for all operational, maintenance and performance related issues on the Confederation Line.

Steven Nadon – Director, Maintenance
Steve has been with the Ottawa Light Rail Transit project since 2017. In his three and a half years with the project Steve has held various roles with the constructor, including Lead Tester of the Power Supply and Distribution Systems, Testing and Commissioning Manager and Testing and Commissioning Director.  He also brings his many years of experience in maintenance and field service from his roles in the high-tech industry in Ottawa. As the Maintenance Director, Steve will ensure that the light rail train system in Ottawa is always fit for service.

Helen Bobat – Special Advisor, Communications
In addition to her role as Director, Communications for the Rideau Transit Group, Helen Bobat serves as Special Advisor, Communications for Rideau Transit Maintenance. Helen brings more than 25 years of experience in strategic communications, which include government, stakeholder and media relations, issues and crises management and internal employee communications.

Tammy Lévesque, CRSP – Manager, Health, Safety, Quality and Environment
Tammy graduated from Bishop’s University with an Environmental Studies Bachelor degree. Tammy has certification in Occupational Health and Safety from Algonquin College. Also, Tammy is certified by the Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals as a Canadian Registered Safety Professional, and by the Infrastructure Health and Safety Association as a Certificate of Recognition Internal Auditor. Joining Rideau Transit Maintenance in 2019 as a Health and Safety Specialist, Tammy has since been promoted to Manager, Health and Safety, Quality and Environment.
